People ask me how I got started making jewelry. I just don’t remember. I spent the last 30 years designing and constructing adaptive equipment for disabled children. Then, one day, I found myself unemployed, not unlike thousands of other people during the economic crisis of 2008.
Somehow I started making jewelry for friends, in between sending out hundreds of resumes. Friends told friends about my work and friends of friends starting sending me their new clothes so that I could match colors and create jewelry just for them. So, while I continue to seek employment in helping those special kids who need my special talents, I decided to sell my jewelry and my wood creations.
